(2009) Audi A6 2.7TDI Le Mans, Black Edition (LED model)

So I've made my mind up and I'm going to pick up my 2009 Audi A6 2.7tdi, Le Mans, Black Edition (grey colour) this weekend.

It has all the extras including BOSE sound, acoustic sensors, Sat Nav, heated seats, Milano leather, lighting pack etc etc, basically a top of the range model.

Can't wait to get into the beast and start driving it, thought I'd post here and see if anyone has any advice pre doing the deal or any other stuff after i bring the car home.

2009 onwards the cars are pretty much sorted, just do the usual checks including switching everything on, pressing all the buttons etc and of course it drives 100% and service history is up to scratch.

If you do a search or have a look through the first few pages of this section you'll see most questions are related to <2009 models which were classed as the prefacelift.

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply.

Its a 09 plate (mid july registered). The car has already been checked out by a mechanic and everything is working. He also took it a test drive to check for steering, auto gearbox, any other issues, and has gave it clean bill of health. The service history has been checked with audi dealership and all is fine.

So here we are cant wait to see how it drives and handles, hopefully much better than my 2litre diesel insignia, lol

FWD or quattro?

If FWD auto it will be multitronic and the tranny will need a fluid change ever 35-40k miles, if quattro it will be tiptronic which needs one at 80k miles.

Yes it will handle far better than any insignia

Its FWD, and yes its had one oil change done at 38k miles another one will be due soon. Thanks for your reply

Picked up my Audi on Saturday and what a car, extremely pleased with it, worth every penny.
I have a DVD based sat nav in my car, does anyone know if i can play normal DVD's in it, Ive tried playing a DVD but does not allow me, i thought maybe there are some settings that i need to fiddle about with. I am also looking for tailored S-Line car mats if anyone have used a company before then i will be happy to hear. Many Thanks

Nope no DVD playback on the DVD nav system, only the HDD allows that.

As for mats, you can't beat the quality of OEM (Audi).

Hi Chris, just been on Audi's website, don't think they do s-line mats, just with a6 logo, rubber and carpet, not too badly priced, lol

I can vouch for the rubber mats, very hard wearing and are easily cleaned with the power hose.

For custom S-Line embossed then I think you'll need aftermarket.
