The younger members of the household drive an '07 9N Polo. The rear washer hose has broken inside the rubber boot that is supposed protect it and the wiring as the tailgate shuts. Is there a simple (cheap!) solution to fixing it or do I need to get a male and female connector from the dealer. Do not really want to have to go through all of the pain of running a completely new piece of hose from the 3/4 panel to the wiper motor.

Ended up buying a male to male house connector from Halfords Halfords Hose Connector Straight 6m... (I think I used the 6mm ones not 8mm) and then using some heat shrink plastic sleeving from Maplin to hold it all in place. 3 years later still OK
