Just spoke to Audi and they don't have any service history on their system

She said she'd expect at least 1 service given it was registered in 2011 but it may have been done outside of Audi.

I've also saw a similar A3 Sportback at the same site.

Registered in Nov 2010 with 1 service in Nov 2011 at 12,000 miles. Its current on 24,000 and hasn't had any services at Audi.

Would it be wise to touch it?

I personally would stay away, obviously the prev owner didn't care enough about the car to service it at Audi so dear knows whos done it, if its even had one.

If you can verify who done the first service then a possibility (only if good independent specialist) but remember if they didn't use OEM parts (if a good reputable specialist they probably did but check) that any remaining Audi warranty is null and void.

    Thanks!

I guess I'll keep on looking - finding it hard to find the spec I'd like with any sort of reputable history!

Remember most things like RNSE, Bluetooth, cruise control, iPod etc can all be retrofitted afterwards!

Pretty simple to do, I've added cruise, rnse, bluetooth, ami and ipod to my standard Sport.

Yeah I was always planning to add things like the RNSE and bluetooth but I'm very picky!

Ideally I'd like an S line Black Edition but it might just not happen without buying new.

No hope on buying one new now as the 8P has been replaced by the 8V.

Whats your budget? Are you prepared to travel far?

    8V being the 2013 model?

I'd say around £17k - If the right spec came up I'd probably travel around.

8V being the new model yeah.

Automatics are fine as long as they've had the gearbox oil changed every 38/9k BY Audi religiously.

I'm not a fan of car supermarkets, there are loads for sale from Audi themselves, a bit more discount available and you'll get a proper Approved Used inspection and a 1 year Audi warranty (if the car is >3 years old) and the younger <3 year cars getting the remainder of the warranty.

Saying that, if you got a car from a Supermarket and it was less than 3 years old, you're still gonna have the security of the warranty IF the servicing is up to scratch either full Audi or specialist.

Does it have to be a Black Edition/S-Line? Loads of pre-reg '63 Sport models lurking about for 15-16k.
