    Hi all,

Car is in garage at the moment with the problem being found out as the throttle body, I am waiting for the call from the garage who will be speaking to AA warranty (I have the premium cover) however little bit unsure if I am covered..

Also Glow Plugs need replacing due to the Throttle body. not sure if they will replace these under warranty either.

Anyone had experience of warranty claims on a throttle body?

Im not sure just waiting for this bloody call to say YES.

there paperwork is a little dubious and as usual doesn't give an easy answer.

My Audi Extedened warranty has a section and says what's excluded but that just says wear and tear due to it bent the same as the factory warranty

My experience of aftermarket warranties was poor, always assume they won't cover the fault then it's not too hard a blow when you're told rejected.

    Thanks A6_chris,

I got a feeling it is not covered too, like you say expect the worst.

Will let ppl know once I get the call by the sounds of it, hopefully its a yes but expecting that its no and if it is lets see if I can fight it.

Car back in again. they replaced the whole intake part with the throttle body first time, but the warning lights show up intake manifold runner line 2 I think it said.. so it could well be the 2nd throttle body.

Well, hopefully that should be covered too.

Probably a good thing that they've failed needing to be replaced, the warranty has done its thing and saved you many £££

    Hope to hear

Got car back, still not fixed, the garage said that he checked the part they had replaced and it was definitely that part that was not working properly he is not sure as the error codes keep coming back with different errors but it related to the intake runner 2. I was thinking could this be that the part has to be registered/programmed in? the car was performing lovely for one day before it turned back.

I am taking it back to them on Monday as the guy who I was dealing with is back then and I will go through warranty again, but just thought could the re-programming part be the problem?
