And if so, where is it? I bought a cheap (£29) twin electrics wiring kit with relay with the towbar but I'm reluctant to start messing.. I think the VW loom is about £200 though.. (the wires have cores of 24 carat gold..)

    Some time later....
After visiting my local *******, it seems the price for the loom is now £250 + vat. I don't know how informed parts dept. personnel are, but he advised me that I would have to bring the car in 'to have the computer altered for the loom'... Can anyone advise me if this is the case? The car is over 5 years old, is the wiring that complex?

Hi, hope we're not too late but we can do a westfalia dedicated kit for £99.75 inc p&p, here is the link to the product on our site VAG tow bar 7 Pin Dedicated Wiring Kit 321600300147 there is instructions on there which shows where they plug in, it would need coding by the dealers or any garage with a VAGcom unit. Thanks

Hi, Many thanks for the offer, but I've looked at the instructions and I don't believe I can follow them. Like extreme Ikea instructions. I can understand the locations easily enough but with no text to follow, I'd be lost. I have a basic kit which came with the towbar and that seems aimed at a vehicle electrician, so I'm up the creek sans implement.

They can seem daunting but they're not that difficult to follow, look at page 8 that shows a pic of the jetta, then each section of the vehicle has a number which refers to what section to look at in the instructions, they then state what colour wires to look for, (Grn being green) Hope this helps. Adam.
