    Hi all,

Had my car in the garage today and looks like the heater matrix has sprung a leak. I believe from looking on here that there is an easy way of replacing it in about 20 mins without striping a large chuck of the dashboard out.

Has anyone come across this and would the carpet be wet?

    Cheers

Do you have a link to the thread?

Any heater matrix I've changed in the past has required the whole dash out.

How to Install a Heater Core in an Audi A6 Quattro | eHow

Reading the above seems to be a dash out but no details given...the giveaway was in moving the front seats back as far as they'd go.

Not sure of the year either

Seems my woe's don't stop there. Car is over-boosting and going into a soft limp. Could be time to get rid !
