Has anyone any experience of buying parts from a none VW dealer?
I've seen a clutch pulley at half the VW dealer price. The supplier says the part is OEM.
I would post the link to them but that may break forum rules.

    I would appreciate your advice.

    Thousands of people, every day.

I get my parts from Crasher, TPS or ECP. No issues with any parts in 10+ years.

I've just purchased an OEM alternator clutch pulley.
On the box it says INA, Distributed by a firm in Germany and a sticker label that says Made in China!
On the pulley it says Germany.

I did not want to add that as I am not sure I'd proved anything.
The box could have been made in China?

INA are an OEM - they're related to LUK via their parent company. Parts are usually made in Slovakia/Germany.

If you've purchased from wellwikidcarpartz2013 on eBay, I'd be dubious about the authenticity of the item.

If you've purchased from someone well known for selling OEM parts, then there's nothing to worry about.

I'd imagine the boxes are as cheap as possible, so yes, they're quite often made in the Far East.

Ina parts are fine never seen them copied. loads of people post links on the site as long as it's not illegal stuff like fake diagnostics cables or software you cant normally buy etc. The mods on this site are usually on the ball when it comes to links

TPS do you mean Trade Parts Specialists if so that seems to be trade only since they say "Please note that it is a service that is NOT available to the general public"

ECP is that Euro Car Parts | The UK's Number 1 Provider of Car Parts Online and In Store

Crasher is that VW Audi Seat Skoda Specialists | Parts Service Modifications

I'm ready for new rear discs and pads!

    Thanks.

I bought an alternator pulley from GSF after checking VW price. The VW pulley bearing was laser marked INA with the INA part number and was packed in a VW marked box .The GSF part was identically marked with the INA I.D. and P/No. and was packed in a INA box.Guess which was half the price of the other ?
