two ami units with an mmi 2g

so the topic says it all. can you have 2 ami units on the same most ring with an MMI 2g? or do you have to do the wiring hack? or not possible at all.

I have a 2007 a6 with mmi 2g high. has the nav, and a cd changer and ami. when I replace the changer (glove box) with another ami, the one in the boot is the only one vivible via the head unit, and if I rotate the two AMI units, the one in the boot is still the only one visible.

any ideas or help would be most appreciated.

AMI is only in the glovebox.

Plug the two AMI units into the glovebox and see what happens. I doubt it will work.

so i want to get them both working so I can have my ipod connected fulltime, and also have an a2dp target (using a tune2air or something similar). hence the 2 ami units.
