    Hello,

I've been doing an MMI 3G retrofit on my B8 A4 and have hit a big problem. I've installed the DAB radio , B&O amp, new gateway and screen, but my main unit 8T2 035 666E is new and I don't think it has even its basic settings (adaptation settings?) are set. I've looked about on the internet and haven't found anything useful. Will Audi be able to do it when they do the CP? Or will a professional retrofitter be able to do it?

    Thanks.

You just need it coded with vcds after component protection is removed as audi will probably charge more on top

Thanks, Chris. I will book to get the CP removed next week. I noticed the screen isn't coming on at all and I thought that might be due to these settings not being entered. I've tried another screen with the same result so am hoping the main unit is the cause. Luckily the radio and amp seem to be working as traffic updates seem to be operating properly.

HI I am doing retrofit to Mmi 3g with Hdd I have few questions but not all in one go, the main one for me is where I can get the wires for all I bought on ebay and this is what I bought
    screen 4F0919604
    Control panel 8T0919609F
Navigation drive x2 SD slots 8T2035666E
    Radio Tuner 4F035056B
I do have MMI 2G with sat nav in the boot,
I have searched the web but could't find the wire kit for
    MMI 3G upgrade

And the last thing I have bought B&O Amp and 10 speakers from S4, now I know that this Amp will not fit MMI 2G so I have decided to upgrade to MMI 3G it on my own with help from somebody, but I have replaced speakers today and God what a sound and I still have to replace these 3 in the front. My question is the standard Amp is 185 Watts the B&O is 505 Watts can I burn the standard I have in my car??

    Any Help will be appreciated

A speaker is a speaker so I would say yes but someone who has done this upgrade would need to clarify
