I have seen in youtube that users are able to navigate through the MMI using the steering wheel controls. Can someone tell me how to do this? Currently I can only navigate through the cd which is currently playing. Can't go to a different cd using the steering wheel controls.

Press mode and it will take you through radio-nav-phone-digi speedo

Try scrolling up and down on the steering wheel and you should get more options to change the cd. Edit - just checked, scroll up and you should see << and >> , those will change the cd selected. You can't change from radio to cd from the steering wheel unless you have full speech.

You didn't state which mmi you have, and if you have a colour dis or not.

Hi Chris, thanks for the quick response. I have MMI 2G. I will go back and check shorlty and update you. But don't remember to see the arrows before.
When I press mode, it only toggles between the Nav and the current CD i am playing.

Mine does it, I have some features in my car some older cars (like your 2006) may not have such as digital speedo ad a few other things.

Mode is doing what it should, going from your previous posts you don't have bluetooth so that obviously wont show

Checked mine and doesn't let me navigate out of a CD. I am getting a Dension kit installed in less than 2 weeks . Hope this will give me more control.
I was told by the installer that Dension has now sorted out all problems and bluetooth works fine .
