    hi all

my b5 passat estate seems to have developed a noise from the front left passenger side wheel area.
it starts around 25mph and goes at around 40mph, it a type of rotational noise as it increases with speed
until it goes at 40.its a kind of metallic eeek, eeek, eeek noise. i have recently replaced the front brake pads
but the noise was there before that and i hoped the new pads would solve it.....but no.
can anyone help with this pse.

while iam on.. i have developed a click from the front right when i brake, can only hear it with window open.
its a metallic click every time pressure is put on the brake pedal.

    tks in advance

sounds like the pads moving in the calipers , the noise could be a stone guard rubbing on the disc ????

Did you put the correct inside pad in the correct side. They are sided and have an arrow on for the direction of rotation of the wheel. Get this wrong and you will have a click (clunk) every time you brake.
Check the passenger caliper is not touching the corrosion lip on the disc. Regards Peter

What make pads did you fit. Some cheap pads do not have the offset spring and direction arrow. Regards Peter
