Both My FM & DAB reception is lousy.
Frequently drops DAB & switches back to FM - MMI shows DAB(FM)

FM reception is hissy and drops the station 20 miles before the wife's Mitsubishi Colt

    No faults recorded by VCDS.
No wiring problems or corrosion on the connectors.

I ordered a Kinetic DRA-6001 DAB/DAB+/FM/SW/MW/LW car aerial to see if It will help + cables & Fakra adaptors

Kinetic DRA-6001 DAB/DABplus/FM/SW/MW/LW Car Radio Aerial Antenna

Anyone know how to connect this via the diversity amp or direct to the FM & DAB modules

    Thanks

    FM1
    FM3/4

I believe are the different aerials located in windows, the others without looking at service guide no idea but will get back to you if no one else give you info ...

Above is the the side of the K-Box / Tuner facing the bodywork, the black port on far right is the power plug next to it is optical fibre connection the rest I will look up and update info ...

Does the aerial you have bought have a separate DAB and RF fakra? why I ask as tuner and dab modules have separate aerial fakras ...

DAB does not use the AMP you have photographed ...

    Thanks Gup

The DRA-6001 aerial has separate DAB & FM connections

I will connect the DAB direct to the DAB module & try the FM to one of the DivAmp FM inputs

In your photo are there 2 Fakra connectors?

Fitted, so I'll see if there is an improvement on the way to work tomorrow.
I there a way to see the signal strength & quality/error rate on the DAB?

Yes go into your hidden menu (hold in car + setup) but you'll need this activated by vcds if it isn't already

Hidden menu -> Tuner -> DAB Tuner Quality

should be looking at the Qual value.

You can also enable the DAB quality meter, so it shows all the time (just next to your telephone signal)

No, it was in the servicemenu.(hidden menu) Dont remember right now where it was, but it was in there somewhere. It is also one for Dab video transmissioin or something. With tha one I got pictures from the Dab station. (You have to press the down left mmi button and choose the feature at 4~5 o'clock afterwards. Dont remember the name...
    I have it enabled, yes.

Yep done this one day when meddling in service menu ...

    Tuner>Tuner settings>Show DAB quality level , check box ...

Then a single digit green number in box appears on far right in general MMI screen ...
