Hi, fairly new to the forum, need some help with couple of fault codes after running fault finder. Fault below:
    17058 - Cylinder 4 Glow Plug Circuit (Q13)
    P0674 - 006 - Electrical Fault - Intermittent - MIL ON
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 10100001
    Fault Priority: 1
    Fault Frequency: 107
    Reset counter: 81
    Mileage: 149980 km
    Time Indication: 0
    Date: 2000.00.00
    Time: 11:14:08

    Freeze Frame:
    RPM: 1088 /min
    Text: 120 Nm
    Speed: 0.0 km/h
    Text: 0.0 %
    Voltage: 14.13 V
    Bin. Bits: 10110000
    Temperature: 20.0°C

    Readiness: N/A
    Second one is:
    Address 15: Airbags Labels: 3C0-909-605.lbl
    Part No SW: 3C0 909 605 J HW: 3C0 909 605 J
    Component: 05 AIRBAG VW8 029 2521
    Revision: 09029000 Serial number: 003A2PPD42EC
    Coding: 0012341
    Shop #: WSC 05311 000 00000
    VCID: 2D51ED87B4130270BBD

    1 Fault Found:
01217 - Side Airbag Igniter; Driver Side (N199)
001 - Upper Limit Exceeded - Intermittent - MIL ON

I have had a look at other posts and all seem to have injector failures associated with them however this is one on its own so any ideas if it is the glow plug or the harness.

Regarding the airbag presume this the airbag in the passenger A-Pillar. So probably best to check all wires. Anything I should look out for or check? Wires under seat?
    Help is much appreciated,
    Will

    Thanks Chris.

I did see those pages on the Ross Tech site.

Presume the airbag in question is the A-Pillar Airbag. Going to check the connections by taking the trim off. If that doesnt solve it i will look at other options.

Regarding the glow plug circuit as there are no glow plug faults, and the weather is now warm how can I activate that circuit so I can check the wire using alight bulb tester.

N199 is the side airbag... in the seat. Not in the pillar.

One of your glow plugs has a fault, probably needs replacing ...

Second is airbag have you checked measuring blocks in airbag module for reading?

You may find these files handy to have as an owner, google for:-

    SSP339 Passat 2006

    SSP340 Passat 2006 Electrical System

Q13 is the cylinder 4 glow plug so could be glow plug/wiring to that one, there was link to TDIClub 101 in the Ross Tech DTC wiki that Chris link?

Here is that Link:- Glow plugs 101 ***Ver. 2.0*** - TDIClub Forums

You should be able to make circuit come live by doing a basic output test in module 01 (engine) ...
