    Hi All.

    New to the forum so go easy on me . It has probably been done to death on here but I am looking for some info on how much the standard engine can take safely, before you need to start changing internals. The engine code is BHZ if that helps. Any advise or links would be great. I am just starting out on a little project and want to work out the best way of going about it.
    Thanks in advance.

    Bosted.

    Thanks for the info. Just had a look at the APR stage III kit and it suggests that 460bhp is ok, as there is no mention of opening up the engine. Will give them a call.

    I am asking similar questions myself on one of my posts.

    I believe stage 1 is the best without other upgraded parts.

    I am no expert though lol.

    The standard 2.0 TSFSI can handle around 450BHP

    If this is the S3 the BHP figures are roughly;

    Stock - 265
    Stage 1 - 300
    Stage 2 - 320
    Stage 2+ 370
    Big turbo (APR etc) 450

    Any more than this and you'll need to upgrade the engine internals
