    Nice and simple.

Which screen wash do you use and why?

I'm looking for new screen wash so was wondering what you guys and gals use through the winter and summer.

I seal my screen with THIS and use any screen wash I can lay my hands on - usually the cheapest from the supermarket. I never mix different brands of screenwash though, I always ensure the bottle is empty before using a different wash.

That said, I've just worked my way through a bottle of THIS stuff and I was quite impressed with it for clarity and rain repelling. Nowhere near as good as my first option though and it leaves an odd residue on paint it contacts - easily removed with a wash, but still.

Blue stuff in 5 litre tubs from Costco. I think it's Holts. I use it at about 25% dilution, which makes it good at shifting grease and bugs.

The Passat I just bought seemed to have just water in there. The first time I used the washers, it smelt like I'd driven into a sewage works. I gave the washer bottle a good long flush out with a hosepipe, and then filled with screenwash and the smell has stopped.

I use the genuine VAG screenwash - I bought the last batch from a Skoda dealer as it was somewhat cheaper than the Audi dealer
