I know this will be bringing up a old thread but has anyone came across the solution to this on a 2.0 fsi or do I just have to live with it

Have you checked with Audi to see if the coil packs are subject to a recall?

When was the fuel filter etc last changed?

audi will only replace the coils if they are genuine audi parts on the car , unfortunatly the previous owner fitted none genuine ones , so back to square one , another question tho , does anybody know if the 2.0 fsi petrol was fitted with a dmf ?

Pull the coilpacks one by one & start the engine each time if pulling one of them doesn't make a difference you've found the problem coilpack. Most modern cars have a DMF. If your rough idle stops when you depress the clutch you have a dying DMF.
