A6 2007 - Radio/CD issues, VCDS scan required

Hi folks, brand new to this site Hello to you all.
i have had an A6 now for 6 months and love it but the radio/cd player is now jumping on both radio stations and cd. This only happens after the car has been running for 10 to 15 mins ?

Any ideas please

Welcome to VWAF

Ideally you need a fault code scan, if you have a look in my signature you will find the VCDS user map, find someone local and tell me who, and I will bring their attention to this thread/you for help.

Have a browse through the C6 section however - Audi A6 - C6 Forum - 2005 - 2010

Cheers bud, I live in Ripon North Yorks only people I can think of are audi Harrogate(arm leg) or vastech in Northallerton , I don't have any fault codes showing on the dash , should there be?

there could be someone local on the forum who has vcds. all codes wont show on the dash, you need diagnostic equipment.

Guys, really struggling to get this looked at , best I've come up with is a local place who said " never heard of that problem but well take it out and send it away see if we can find the cause"? Any help in the North Yorkshire area is most appreciated .

When you say jumping, as in audio seems to go on/off, wonder if its a sound amp issue given this is a common part, aswell of course as the head unit, but not heard head unit doing this, but have heard amps having issues with dry joints etc.
