    Are you experiencing any problems?

    And what was it scanned with?

    This is the only real thing I can find - http://www.dtcsearch.com/P261A/Generic/

    Get it scanned with VCDS or VW if possible.

    Scanned with "Torque" on Android.

    Light now out (cleared).

    Will see if it reappears and then scan with VCDS (didn't have it to hand earlier).

    Other threads seem to indicate "Aux Water Pump" which is a 2nd waterpump to pump water round the engine after turning it off.

    P261A = P2600
    P261B = P2601
    P261C = P2602
    P261D = P2603

    The pump is only required on hot engine shut down. Faults can be wiring or pump.

    You probably need to replace the pump.
