Audi A6 C6 Adaptive Air Suspension fault

Hello everyone!
I have Audi A6 C6 2007, and got a problem with the adaptive air suspension. The orange lamp, beside the green lamp, came on and stays on. I can select all levels in MMI, and car raise and lowers on all levels (Lift, Auto, Comfort, Dynamic). But the orange fault light stays on. The air dampers are very hard too when driving.
I took a Vagcom test, and got one fault. Can someone please tell me what it can be? Could it be the sensors? The dealer wants £180 for just CHECKING the problem, so I need some advice before I go to them.

1 Fault Found:
00144 - Left Rear Dampening Adjustment Valve (N338)
011 - Open Circuit - MIL ON

Welcome to VWAF! ...

To me out of some of the more expensive faults you can have on air suspension you have one of the cheaper one

...

N338 is replaceable ... P/N is 4F0 598 081 in the UK approx. £260 @ dealer for part ...

I would check cabling first, have a view of this

Google for SSP 242 , view from page 33 onwards ... look for PDC valve on the diagrams ...
