Hello, The volume / mute knob on my MMI 2g High doesn't like to mute when you press it - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I enquired of Audi as to how much the switch is, but of course they only want to flog me the complete MMI control panel for over £700...... The panel will be coming out next week as part of my LPG install and I was going to ask the fitter to put a drop of contact cleaner in the switch to see if that cures it, has anyone else come across this problem? Not exactly the biggest problem in the world as I can just twist the knob to turn the volume down to nothing of course!

Here is a link showing the MMI controls panel apart ... Link:- Setting Clock / date - Page 2

Contact cleaner may or may not work on the volume control but panel is replaceable without intervention form Audi to remove component protection ...

2fquick linked a PDF concerning opening up the MMI control panel ... Link:- Setting Clock / date
