Best not to drive it on the bump stops.

Its hard to say worst case, does the error light flash? If so best case 1 airbag and compressor repair, worst case 2-4 airbags and new compressor, buts that's pretty unlucky, if the light flashes that's good, and then try ignition on and off 3 times to see if it can lift over 3 attempts.

    Regards

I haven't seen the car yet. Also I have a question - all 4 wheels seems to be very low, if only 1 airbag was faulty would it cause others to get low as well? Is it interconnected system or each airbag has its individual valve?

There Is a valve for each corner but the system will try to level the car, so if the front left leaks, the front right will lower to keep the car level, but also if the compressor is weak it will lower rather than raise as the pressure is too low, go see the car, if the error light flashes let the compressor run until it stops and light goes solid and restart immediately, do this 3 times max to prevent overheating.

Hmmm, hard to compare but initially that sounds a bit expensive for me, in the UK I would guess a problem car year 2000, around £1500-£2500 which top price is around 3000Euro if it had no obvious problems then yes price is good. Tell the owner its 4 airbladders and a compressor required that's 1000 euro minimum at the garage, knock the cost down. I think the car has good potential but its a gamble, whatever price it goes for you WILL have to buy parts and work on this car,

I own a 2000, I know this!! it keeps me busy!!, but i still wouldn't sell it

Thank you so much Andy, you helped me decide, would it be to much to ask for your phone number so I can give you a shout when looking at the car? I would feel more confident when buying. If you mind then we get back chatting here and thank you so much for all your explaining and time. You are awesome.

P.S. What do you mean your car keeps you busy? Is this a problem model? I mean stuff gets broken often? All my life I have had AUDIs and I love them, I know it can cost arm and a leg, unfortunately I am not in the best phase of my financial life so heads up on things that might go wrong with Allroad would be much appreciated.

Well saw the car today, the light was not flashing on the instrument cluster, car didn't raze after 3 times starting and stopping the car. The light of the air suspension panel was on second position, 2 green led and doesn't matter what I was pressing, nothing changed, car was so low, that it was catching body with the tires. IT was in a pretty bad shape, managed to get the price down to 3.5k EUR

    What do you think Andy?

    OK,

It needs a fault code read to establish why the error light is on solid, the suspension will do nothing until this suspension error light is off,

get Min 1K off the price, it could be a simple broken N111 wire, or it could be a whole new ECU and multiple issues, i recomend a fault code read, copiy them down and then clear all faults to see what error(s) come back and let me know

    regards

    Andy

Well he doesn't go lower then 3.5k EUR, I will not go there again coz its 800km both ways to check ECU. What is the worst case scenario with that fixed light, or shall I just forget it?

You cannot guess worst case, but for starters 4 airbags, new compressor and 4 level sensors and new ecu, and rewire . A fault code read could prove simply a broken wire needs joining. Its too much money and too far away, see what else comes up.
