The lifespan of the original air springs is about 10 years and usually regardless of how many kilometers the vehicle traveled. There's a lot of after market air springs But according to my experience Arnott is the only one who has been holding out for more than three years in my car (Touch wood). With lifetime warranty and with excellent customer service

    Hi there
having suspension problems with an A6 allroad V8.
Suspension is sitting on bumpstops on all 4 wheels. Not driven very often.
Tried to do the start and let run for 2 minutes, 3 times and nothing happens. Can hear the compressor working, it makes a rattling noise that varies and stops after 2 minutes. Only the first green light flashes and does not go any higher. Have the flashing yellow light in the dash.
Have ordered a renovation kit for the compressor.
Any advice to what the problem could be?
    Regards
    Kenneth

    Hi,

the light flashing and compressor running is goid, the system knows it is low and is trying to lift, it is trying to lift the rear 2 first, once they get up to level 1 it will lift the front, so it’s either a weak compressor or large leak on the rear. Fit the repair kit to the compressor and report back

    best Regards

    Andy,

Do you have some way to get rid of water that's got into system? I've changed the driers, but there's so much moist inside that the driers keep getting wet. Is there any way to get the system dried otherwise, or should I keep changing the driers 'til it dries out?

Hi, you say the drier keeps getting wet, are you opening the compressor each time to inspect it? If so it’s normal the compressor generates a lot of heat which the hot air condenses and so moisture is formed each time the compressor runs. it is the driers job to catch the moisture. There will always be moisture in the drier, it’s job is to stop it entering the rest of the system. Do you have moisture anywhere else?

    Best regards

I've removed the compressor and swapped the driers inside the drying chamber. My valve unit is wet so driers have been too moist to keep the moisture out from the air system. Now I've changed the driers few times, but there's still moisture in valve unit. I suppose there's more moisture everywhere in the system. If i've understood the diagram right the dry air from system should dry the driers when car is lowering. Of course on long perioid of time the driers will get wet. Now i think that my system has had moist driers for too long and the system has got wet. When I lower he car it won't dry the driers but make them more wet. So every time I adjust level the driers get more wet. That's why I've swapped those driers. But if there's a way to dry the system parts separately it would help a lot.

You would need to blow through all hoses and remove excess moisture that way, however is the moisture causing a problem? Does the suspension work ok?

    best Regards
