A6 LED Headlights

Just had my 2009 A6 2.0 TDI hit at the front and to my horror i was told that even though the headlights look like they are working, the drivers side front xenon will need replacing as the brackets are broken at the back.
Question for all you Audi guys is do i really have to fork out almost 1,000 for a new light or can i just get a bracket repair kit to fix the back of the light fittings.
Love my car too bits but after everything i dont want to go and buy another drivers side xenon light for that money!!!!!!
Anyone had this happen and managed to avoid the costs, if the light was smashed then off course i would change it but all appears to be fine just some of the brackets are broken from the back and yes maybe its not ideal but help!!!!!!!!!!!!! can someone help me.

Basically insurance wont cover the light as it wasnt caused in an accident and wasnt picked up on first inspection, so i have to sort it out.

There is a bracket repair kit for the headlights ...

Left = 4F0 998 121
Right = 4F0 998 122
