And that is the problem - one rule for one group, and another rule for the rest. We have spent so much time in this country sh*tting ourselves lest we 'offend' people from various faiths or groups that we have completely failed to hold those groups to the letter of the law. It is high time that the playing field was levelled.

There can be NO room for racism -but that HAS to be upheld in all directions, and not just to favour certain groups.

Completely agree, racism is a terrible thing but this isn't a race issue.

Anyone read the news of what is going on in Sweden? Yep the TDI followers are hair trigger rioting with impunity and those citizens who are trying to protect their houses and cars and communities getting torched and the ones having their collars felt by the law. Another extreme case of one rule for one....

If I was Muslim & these terrorist acts were being committed by people who claim to be doing it in the name of Islam & Allah, I'd be furious. I do think true Muslim organisations should be more actively involved in flushing out these people - they seem to be able to hide within the community & preach extremist messages without being kicked out by the community. It's like when the IRA used to be able to have meetings & collect donations for 'the cause', thete were Irish people who weren't involved in the IRA at those meetings, but who never alerted the authorities.

The problem is, if the authorities had arrested these two.....I can't think of a word I want to use to describe them....there would have been all sorts of trouble and screams of protest over racist abuse of power without any evidence so what are the security services supposed to do? They spend their lives trying to protect US (and that is ALL of us, no matter what creed, colour, religion or sexual orientation) with both hands tied behind their backs!

Despite my gut reaction to this, I'm glad the Police did not kill them. That is exactly what they wanted and if it had happened there would have been hair trigger rioting and similar atrocities happening all over the country.

That is just the problem.

The ones we call extremists are the true and orthodox ones, following to the letter their ideology.

They showed remarkable restraint and professionalism when confronted with these creeps even when the creeps pulled a gun on them. I think this was a suicide by cop effort with martyrdom, for them and the ensuing inquiries and general nonsense about rights being violated, racist cops and viola, the creeps become "victims".
