Engine emissions control system warning light

So, I got sorted! Embarrassingly, the problem was due to the panel that popped out...

The mentioned cable had nothing to do with the fog light, it was for the outside temperature sensor. When the panel popped out, the sensor was dislodged slightly. My mechanic's computer identified the issue quickly and when I told him the story re the panel, he pieced things together immediately. Cost me €35 to put the car on the computer.

Again, embarrassing, but all ends well that ends well. At least it's another example of what that particular warning light can mean. The manual is basically useless; when a light comes on, any amount of things could be up. The only way to know is get it hooked up to a computer. They really have you locked in with these new yokes!!

My emission light came up today. Engine running fine and no any issues. I will try get read fault codes today afternoon and see if anything will pop up. Anoing. My car is Audi A6 C7 2.0 TDI 190 ps ultra 2014. My car came back week ago from Audi garage after flywheel and clutch replacement plus steering wheel software update.
