i have recently replaced the cambelt on my corrado g60 and was wondering how to exactly tension the belt because if you check the tension on tdc its tight but if checked at a random engine position when its turned off on the longest part of the belt its slack, also is the engine supposed to be hot or cold as hot the belt tightens up,i know its meant to be a 90 degrees turn on the longest part of the belt its just at tdc or not? cheers.

set the tension by twisting to 90° then turn the engine over manually to check it ok then re-check the belt tension and tighten if required. All when cold.
