I've had my 2.0 C7 S-Line for 4 weeks now and apart from the rear suspension issue that a few of you guys have also experienced, the first 900 odd miles have been very pleasurable. I'm amazed at how different the car is compared to my old 2.0 Le Mans that it's replaced. Have noticed better fuel economy already and it's only going to get better as the engine loosens up.

Quick question though on the TMC feature within the MMI. I've noticed that on satnav screen the TMC display is crossed out which according to the manaul suggests that although the dynamic traffic routing is switched on, there is no TMC service and as a result, I'm not getting any traffic info. I've tried going into the various settings within the satnav and also the tuner but can't seem to see anything abvious. I'm I missing somthing here? Also, in my previous Le Mans, I can remember the system working without any changes to the default settings.

    Any ideas?

I think TMC differs from area to area.

I know this is how it is for me on both my A3 and A6.

Occasionally the TMC service goes offline or you are not getting a strong enough signal for Classic FM (I believe they are still the carrier for the TMC service) which leads to it being crossed out. Don't think there are any specific settings required to make it work, it should just work "out of the box" so to speak

Thanks for the quick replies guys. The annoying thing is that it worked fine on my old car ans like you say John, its should work "out of the box". OK, so in the grand scheme of things, I appreciate it is just a small thing but none the less, it's annoying.

Glad someone raised this as I am experiencing same issue. Car is 4 or 5 weeks old, TMC is activated but shows as crossed out. On one journey (east bound to Edinburgh) I noticed the map had updated with traffic info however it was a one-off. I'm presuming therefore its very much geography specific & linked to reception rather than malfunctioning?

Quick update on this guys. Had the car back into the dealer today who confirmed that there was fault. Relieved at this as it was really puzzling me as to why the TMC was crossed out particularly as the feature worked flawlessly in my previously owned Le Mans. Warranty invoice states "Ran update disc, Reset & Set feedback. Carried out tests...all OK". Glad it got sorted but part of me is slightly pi**ed off as 6 weeks into my C7 ownership, this is the 2nd time it's been back to the dealer.

Have to add though, the service from the dealer has been absolutely top notch...they collected the car from my work and as a courtesy, they even put in 10L of fuel!
