    Hi all,

Recently my Golf Mk3 has developed a judder/misfire problem. When i accelerate the car seems to suffer from a misfire and it feels like it's being pulled back! It seems to happen mainly from 2nd gear upwards and is a real problem on the motorway as you can't biuld up speed.

I took it into a garage and they checked the spark plugs, leads and air filter but after a test drive they couldn't find anything wrong with it! If you put your foot right down it doesn't seem to misfire!

Is this a common problem? I'm afraid of taking it back into the garage due to cost without knowing a bit more about what it could be! HELP!

Hi there, have you tried checking the throttle body, it may need a clean as they get a bit clogged up after some time & that can make the car bog down.
Injector cleaner might also help if you haven't used any yet.

Hope this helps to save you a trip to the garage.
