When I got my A6 at the start of March the Service Reminder was on (Required new Brake Fluid). Had my local Audi dealership do the brake fluid change, they reset the Mileage and Dates within MMI but said the the computer won't talk to the instrument cluster to turn off the service reminder. Has this happened to anybody else and how do you rectify it?

No idea why that would happen.

The brake fluid doesn't require a service reset by the way.

But is it not part of the inspection service? Basically its my dads ex-company and they did the bare minimum when it went for its last service before I got it. Would VCDS (VAG-COM) help in getting to the bottom of the problem before I go back to dealer?

Did you have the inspection service done?

Brake fluid on its own doesn't need a reset.

And yes someone with vcds would be a good help.

I didn't know that there was a reminder for brake fluid change. I just change it every two years useing alternate colour brake fluid so that I can see when all of the fluid has been changed. (on blue fluid at the moment)

My oil / filter service reminder is set at 365 days.

My local Independent had the same problem a few weeks back when trying to reset light. Their Snap-On diagnostics had an update last week and now can reset reminder.
