    Hi folks,

I am looking at the options out there for improving power on a Golf MK5, 1.6FSI, and saw on eBay a plug in device which holds various remaps from Eco to performance. Does anyone know if these are any good in comparison to a professional remap? This device was only £75 which made me a bit concerned!

If anyone knows of some good suggestions otherwise for increasing BHP please let me know. I haven't done anything yet but was thinking of sports exhaust.

Bit late but if it is only £75 then I doubt it would be any good. You can buy proper tuning boxes where the companies will customise the map for you, all you would need to do is read the ecu, send the file to the relevant tuner they make the adaptions and then send it back to you for you to load to the vehicle.
