    Hi,

After reading many posts i think i know there are two hidden menus an“engineering menu“ and a proper hidden one that i probably need someone with a box of tricks to unlock.

I have found the engineering one (setup & return , i think it was ) just left that one alone.

What does each of these give access to?

Is it worth me tracking down someone to unlock this? If it is anyone in Bristol / North Somerset

No real point unless you know what you're doing as one wrong click can brick the MMI.

Only thing really is if you want the Battery Meter showing - it's wrong most of the time.

To gain access you need to enable it first of all in VCDS (Control Head) and then press RADIO, wait, then press SETUP + CAR together (SETUP first then 1 millisecond later, the CAR) until the menu appears.

Setup+return gets you into firmware update mode iirc.

Chris, what do you mean by your battery meter comment?
I have mine enabled and religiously watch it due to the two cameras I have in the car. Last month, had a flat after forgetting to charge up the battery over a 4 day non-driving weekend but anyway, everytime I check the meter, it seems to be correct.
By this, I mean that when I get into the car every morning, the battery is usually on 1 or 2 bars (10/20%) as the cameras are on motion detect throughout the night. As I drive, it goes up and charges up the battery.
The day the battery died completely, the MMI showed 0 bars from memory when I got the initial boost from the AA.
