    Default Vehicle codes Altea – 26-03-2013,03:55 PM
    I'm trying to help my brother in law with his 1.9 Altea. He cant find the vehicle codes. The codes for my Audi are on a sticker in the spare wheel well. Can anyone help please?

    The sticker should be in the manual or in the spare wheel well

    If they're not there, you can decode various things using the VIN.

    What is it he's trying to find out?

    engine/gearbox codes. Whats deducible from the VIN?

    the engine code will be on your brother in law's V5.

    remember if he has a genuine seat service book the sticker will be stuck on the inside cover of that too.

    tell him to double check the inside of the spare wheel well and take the spare wheel out too.

    He found the wheel well sticker, it had come loose and was lodged under the wheel. I can interrogate Elsawin now for him. Thanks
