    HI

I have a 2004 V6 3.2 which I have found out today has a problem with the timing chain.

The engine management light was coming on so the local VW dealer replaced the timing sensor after leaving the dealer the light returned the following day so I took it back. They have today discovered the timing chain is stretched and it requires a new chain to be fitted cost 2K. The car has a mere 40K on it and VW will only pay 50% of the bill.

How do I stand on this?

    Cheers for the help!

After reading your article, its unbelievable that they brought back timing chains because rubber timing belts were failing and then it costs more to fix than an engine with a belt failure...crazy.
