    Hello

I just discovered oil under our Touran. It wasn't there this morning (it was parked nose-in) so has happened today after a shortish journey, about 10 miles.

It's due an oil change so I'm going to do that. It's the PD engine so will it have the plastic oil filter housing like the Bora/Golf? Or does it have a proper metal one that screws into the sump?

Any known weaknesses that could cause a sudden oil leak? Blocked breather etc?

    Thanks

It did start to leak quite suddenly but I don't think I hit anything... I'll have a good look on Thursday when I get chance.

    Thanks

If anyone's interested it turned out to be the oil feed pipe to the turbo.

A stainless steel, rigid pipe unsupported for its entire length. It's going to crack with vibration eventually. I suppose a P clip would have been too expensive.

We now have another leak, one year on to the date of the last one.

It's not as acute as last time, I suppose I'm going to get the undertray off & have a look.

This is taken from underneath - it's leaking from the nut in the middle of the pic (the one above/further away than the one on the oil scavenge pipe flange). I tightened it as much as I dared but it's still dripping about once every seven seconds at tickover.

Can I get seals for these turbos, or does it have to be rebuilt?

    Thx
