Been having trouble finding why my aircon wasnt wokring, its not one of the usual & simple faults unfortunately! Vag-com helped me identify a control flap actuator was faulty, but didnt know where the actuator actually is on the car due to Audi being very unhelpful, still no Haynes manual for the B6, and no one on here has suffered a similar problem!! Finally now after several weeks managed to finally find out where the actuator is im a happy man!! Im however very unhappy that Audi want £81.94 for a small motor in a black plastic case measuring 2" square!! Unfortunately its not an item Vagparts or GSF stock so im basically being bent over a barrel on this one!! Anyone got any bright ideas how to pay less at a dealer for parts?

I tend to use vagparts alot, some bits can be cheaper, some bits aren't, but they are usually honest and will tell you over the phone if your better going to your dealer.

Sometimes identical parts from SKODA dealerships are cheaper. Worth trying other VAG dealers.

Thats true... also.. i kinow off topic... but servicing also.. if you can live without the 4 rings in the service book and perfer another VAG logo its a good option.

I can see it massivly affecting the resale price if you have VW service rather than Audi.

Problem solved, Vagparts to the rescue as they have been able to source the part directly from Germany for me, total cost including delivery £19 cheaper than the ******* price!! Happy with that even though it'll take a week for the part to come. Hopefully i'll be enjoying cool air again very soon!!
