    Evening All !
today whilst following forum instructions on how to rectify the wonky sat nav with a new aerial mounted under the dash (thanks forum !), I discovered that my newly acquired 04 Allroad 2.5Tdi has the TV function and I assume that the lack of reception is down to it being an analogue receiver and not a digital one.
Is it possible to convert it to digital as you can on some BMWs and Range Rovers and roughly how costly is it ?
    Many Thanks
    Roo

Hi, I have been looking to do the same thing with my sat nav+ / TV.

I've yet to do it but been looking and reading of ways to do it.

I'm fairly sure the way forward is to buy a DVB-T interface and also the correct cable to give you an auxillary input function.

    link for DVB-T box - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/V0018-Car-...60926064858%26

Link for adapter cable - http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/index....roduct&info=49

Like I said, I've yet to try this as i'm toying with replacing the whole head unit for a 2din Sat Nav with bulit in DVB-T that also has an OBD function on it too that displays the boost etc for my RS6.

Hope this was of some help.

    Hi,
thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'll do a bit of digging. It seems a good priced solution compared to the potential £400ish cost of converting a Range Rover that I toyed with doing but never did due to the expense.
Where were you thinking of locating all that gubbins + antenna's that would make running wires easy/neat ?
If you are replacing the entire head unit I have a set of 4 extraction keys that I can post off to you if you need them. Just post them back when done.
    Thanks

Thats the confusing part because I've read of cables that connect in the boot as well as the 10 pin plug on the rear of the main head unit.

Check out a site called Chinavasion, that's where I have seen some reasonably priced 2din units with DVB-T, GPS, touch screen, iPod connections, SD cards and even OBD plug and display.

Thanks for the offer of removal keys. I sourced a set off eBay just the other week for around £4.
