I have a 2002 Audi A4 2.0 petrol. The coolant temperature gauge doesnt move at all and the radiator fan is constantly on. The dealer told me the car has 2 coolant temperature sensors, and I would have to replace both of them. One is a green 4-pin sensor and the other is a grey 2-pin sensor. I have located and replaced the green ect sensor but the temperature gauge still does not move and the radtiator fan is still constantly on. I cannot find where the grey 2-pin sensor goes. Can anyone help me locate this please?

The green two pin sensor is dual sensor. It reads temp. for dash and ECU. Check with VCDS if it is sending correct temp to ECU. I've replaced mine in September only to find out at the weekend that it was not sending correct temp to ECU.

Hi. Grey 2 pin sensor located on near side of radiator, lower flange. If you lay down and look from near side wheel you will see it pointing downwards from the flange. I was able to change it in situ without even jacking the front of car. I can post a picture if need be
