Over the past year, I have experienced these faults on a 2008 model.

    Problem 1 - Ongoinf
Light switch Auto mode - The dash lights go out, only speedo and rev counter needle lights remain. Headlamps switch on
Light switch On mode - The dash lights and headlights switch on as expedted

    Problem 2 - Resolved
Centre console - Partially died with buttons becoming inoperable, including adjudtments for radio. I replaced the centre console and all issues were resolved.

Problem 3 - Ongoing and most inconvenient
Subsequently, when the igition is off, the dash clock needles illuminate and stay on for quite some time. They sometimes eventually go off, sometimes they don't
Most recently, when the ignition is off, the dash clock needles come on and the radio starts playing. The only remedy I have at present is to isolate the battery to completely turn off the car.

Has anyone come across this behaviour before?

Have you had any water in cabin from rain, washers, AC, etc? Or a suspicion of it due to smrll of damp, condrnsation on windows? If so damage to a control unit would be a contender.

Problem 1 - could be module coding. You can code what comes on and when.
Problem 2 - whey hey Normally caused by fizzy drink or coffee being spilt.
Problem 3 - Have you spilt another drink. Or water in the plenum boxes under the bonnet. Is this when the doors are locked?

Apologies for the silence. I have had water in the front footwells. Turns out it drain holes located under the front windscreen were clogged. That's fixed now and issues 2 and 3 started after that happened.

Did you strip it back to bare metal to air, and brush any control unit motherboards with fiberglass pencil to remove corrosion, treat for water displacement, etc?
