    Hi, hopefully somebody can help!

Just before Christmas I purchased a A4 avant and the only problem I seem to have encountered has been excess condensation on the internal windows....significantly more than on any other car I have ever owned.

It can take an age to clear in the morning (car is parked outside overnight) and even once the windscreen etc is clear, it can return within 5/10 mins. No matter what I do to the heating controls, nothing helps apart from opening the window slightly.

Has anybody else experienced such an issue? Any advice gratefully received!

Is the front passenger floor wet ?
Have a search on blocked plenum drains.
You could change the pollen filter; that may help.

Just to reiterate what Kite said, it does sound like there's some sort of wet/damp in there.

I am on my 3rd Avant and 2 have had leaks in the rear washer pipeline. If the drains are clear I would suspect a break somewhere and this could be confirmed if the rear jet isnt really strong. When I fixed the last break in the line in the loom from the roof to the tailgate I was astonished as the how much more power there was.

Although I'm new to Audis, I wonder if your car's suffering from the same problem as mine was. In my case, although the blower was operating well, no warm air was blowing out of the screen vents. Problem was a couple of the heat distribution motors/actuators were jammed. Once freed off and lubricated I was able to clear the screen. A common problem on A4's I hear.

Do you have the climate control set to recirculate? That causes mild misting up for me.

As above check for water ingress, also check the recirc flap hasn't jammed closed, the cure for condensation is ventilation.my money is on insuffient throughput of air.ps check the pollen filter isn't clogged, try it for a while with it out see if it improves.

Hi princebishop75. I bought a car de-humidifier from ebay for £9.00.It basically is a black bag full of water absorbing granuals which soak up moisture from the air.if you have sorted out where the leak is from this item should sort out the remianing moisture from inside your car? ps the de-humidifier is re-usable..

Hi. Can you tell me where the rear washer pipeline runs once it leaves the rear wiper motor? I have a leak but I'm struggling to track it down. It's not anywhere in the tailgate and then it passes through where the tailgate hinges onto the main body. I think my leak is beyond the hinge but does the pipeline go through the headlining or does it go down the side of the car towards the boot floor?

I think it goes down to the floor probably on the nearside. My B5 had a faulty connector under the front footwell which was a pain to access and dry out
