Audi A3 1.9 TDI AHF Engine Speedo stopped working and lack of power

Hi All

I have Audi A 1.9TDI AHF - 200,000 miles and going strong (usually)

On the way home from work today it suffered a few issues:

Speedo stopped working - It then started going up and down has I pressed the throttle up and down

I also noted when the speedo was not working there was lack of power / no torque - When the speedo decided to work the engine appeared to have more power

Cruise control has also stopped working (This was retro fit, to help preserve my licence)

Hi All

Please any idea's it did the same tonight, Speedo stopped and no low down power / torque
A few minutes later the speedo was going up and down when I pressed the throttle and power seemed to return

The first thing to do is check the fuses. It sounds like it's intermittent, so I'd take the fuse out, check it for cracks or corrosion, then replace it.

A fault code read and reset would also be a good idea.

By speedo do you mean road speed or engine RPM? It needs a scan there could be a few reasons for this problem

I'd check any relating to the dash panel, but since i don't know which ones they are, I'd personally start at the top and work my way down.
