    Hi Guys,
Just wondered if anyone with a B8 3.0TDi has had their car remapped? I'm considering having it done when the car is out of warranty (about a year away yet). Main questions being:

-What is the biggest BHP increase to expect?
-Did you do a DPF delete? if not, did you get any problems with DPF?
-Are there any other potential problems such as clutch/EGR dying?

    Cheers

    -Andrew

    Hi

we had a 2008 A6 3.0TDi remapped - no DPF delete and no issues. Sold at 50k miles and was mapped from about 5k - so much more torque, made it feel very quick!

I have driven one with a REVO remap. Amazingly quick, it brings this already brisk engine to life in no uncertain terms. I guess by the very nature of more power the car / engine won't last as long as it would have done otherwise. But with so many factors to consider a remap is hardly worth worrying about in terms of wear. A heavy footed driver is more likely to wear a car out than a simple remap.

I've had my B8 3.0 TDI quattro Sline remapped nearly a year now and not a single regret :-) I went for the super chips bluefin map with 55(ish) more horses. The car always felt like it was holding back before, but now is free and much smoother with the delivery. Also means I don't miss the old S4 so much :-)
I haven't seen a noticeable increase in mpg like some have, but that doesn't bother me.
