Multitronic issues??

Hi, i've had my 2003 A4 2.5 tdi cab for two months now. And ive noticed that when in automatic mode there is hesitation before the car goes (especially when cold), in semi auto mode when warm it tends not to have this hesitation. The gearbox fluid has been changed at 70k, the car has done 80k now. And there was no error codes when scanned last month. Is it common for this box to behave this way?

Also if the gear box does need fixing whats the cost for replacement?

Id there are no presume sender or F125 switch fault codes then this symptom could be clutch pack, incorrect oil level, ECU failure, oil pump problems, all sorts. A properly rebuilt box from Audi or ZF UK could be in the £3K+ mark plus fitting but you may be able to find a local specialist to rebuild it for less but be very wary. The Audi box, whoever fits it, comes with a two year warranty.
