    Hi

I have a 2003 MK4 1.9 Tdi PD100 , I need to check the feeds on the Plug that goes into the Boot Latch ( 3 wires ) the Micro switch is corroded away and the Plug is not very good , I am going to do some Mod on it .

but I would like to know what the wires on the plug are for , I know 1 or 2 of them go to the Boot light ! , I just wanted to short whichever one's out to see if the boot light comes on , the wires are as follows : Top:Brown/Blue Middle:Brown 3:Brown/Black . I am getting 12Volt from the Top and Bottom connectors .

    cheers

    Hi
Having a wild guess here. Would one have anything to do with the alarm if you have one ?
