    hi hope someone can help i have 2.5tdi bdg engine car was registered dec 2003 the timing is retarded using vag com graph i removed upper belt cover to adjust as per instructions instead of finding 3x10mm bolts with elongated holes on sprocket i have 3x10mm allen key bolts with what seems no adjustment any ideas thanks

    Large screwdriver and hammer, just tap the pump sprocket either way: clockwise to retard and anti clockwise to advance...

    Clockwise to advance, and opposite, might works better. Also if you just leave the hammer and use the screwdriver to gently push the alignment arrow at the tentioner againest the cars right side, you can easily turn the
    sprocket by hand, small steps! The 3 allen key is torqued by 20 nm.
