    Hi ,

The switch seems to work with the orange LED going on , then off after 10 mins or so.

But it has no effect on defrosting the rear screen.

Does anyone know where the fuse for this should be ? Could it still be the fuse blown , even if the orange LED on the switch still comes on ?

    Thanks in advance.

I would say have a look at the fuses or if there is any dirt spoiling the connection.
This is easily rectified by wiping it clean. Replacing a dud fuse is also very easy.

    Thanks for the video.

I have looked in the owners manual and I can't find a specific fuse for 'heated rear window'.

    There are 'auxiliary heating' fuses.

I think I might need to get a dealer to have a look at it.

It could be the wiring has broken away from the tab on the heater element within the windscreen...

Ok can you recommend someone local to Erdington who can do a scan ?

If its a tab connection that's come loose, would that be easy to fix ?

I see but Is that image from an Avant ? I have a saloon, presumably something would need stripping down to have a look.
