    Hi Guys

Just bought a vw phaeton on 2005 plate. The autogear box works fine on a cold start but after 10 minutes, it just goes in to limp mode the gear display disappears on the computer next to the speedo and then i cant go above 50mph its seems to be stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear.

Even if i put in tiptronic mode nothing happens just stuck in one gear.

If i stop the car take keys out etc the same things happens but alot quicker like after 30 seconds.

Any ideas help? anyone i can take it to around leeds.

    Thanks

I did the company either saying its the gearbox or maf sensor? would a faulty maf sensor cause the above problem?

I'm pretty 100% sure MAF would not cause the issue you are posting...

If you get a scan with VCDS yourself/from member... check Chris's signature he has map of members with VCDS who may do a scan for you...

Otherwise try a main dealer/indi with VCDS and ask for log to post info...
