Hello is it possible to use a rear mount bike carrier on a 2007 a3 2.0 tdi s line? I've been routing round the internet for a while now and keep getting confilcting information. Some people say you can and other say to carry bikes the rack needs to be fitted to a tow bar. Even the thule website shows rear mounted carriers but before i get one and waste £100+. I presume the reason some people are saying it's not possible is becasue of the small spoiler on the rear of the car. Can i def use a rear mounted bike carrier with a 2007 a3 2.0 tdi s line. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    James

I'd go the roof bar route... I got some inverted carriers (hold the bikes on by the bars). They're spot on, don't effect the mpg that much either, only loose 3mpg
