    Not the whole steering column. Unless it's by a dealer trying to big up the job to take more money from the customer than necessary.
    Of course, that is very, very rare

    Hallo, this was a wery interesting thread, my passat have altso this problem with steering column lock defektive. But after reading this i wonder is it possible to just bay these 2 microswitches and replace them? Or are the electric motor and the rest of the lock bad to? If it is just the switches that is the problem were can i bay them? I wood be very hppy for answeres. Ragards from Norway ��

    The package says schnappschalter Q1055.0351. They are Marquardt 1055.0351 Micro Switch 24V DC 2A IP67. Available from: Microswitch 24 Vdc 2 A 1 x On/(On) Marquardt IP67 momentary 1 pc(s) from Conrad.com

    Thanks for very good informasjon about this problem, in my case i think the problem maybe was solved with the plastic pice on the black lever, i altso sprayed a litle bit 5-56 (electric connection spray). Now it working fine. ☺

    Hi,
    Are you sure about the article number for the Marquadt switch (1055.0351)?
    When I opend my steering lock black box i found a switch with soldering pins instead of soldering ears as the 1055.0351 has.
    My switch looks like the ones sold on Ebay in the repair kits.
