    Okay, so the nights are drawing in, it's getting cold (up north), not to mention wet, and thoughts are turning to winter tyres. I am looking at the Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3's and was wondering if anyone has had experience in using them in the winter?

    They are ok (get very noisy after 3mm scrubbed off) but after trying various over the last few years I would go with (dependant on size) either Vredstein or Nokian as found them to be the best allrounders. Toyo Snowprox also very good (just bought some more for wifes A4 allroad) I have gone for Nokians again this year to fit on 19" rims. Best place i have found to buy is reifen.com in Germany they will ship for 5e a corner (note they dont take cards but will take bank transfer or paypal) Hope this helps
