    Default A8 DAB and AMI retrofit – 04-10-2012,08:51 PM
    Am I right in thinking that if I want to be able to connect an ipod to an A8 that I need an AMI module adding? Is this a fairly straightforward job? I'm guessing it's a case of plugging new module into the bus and possibly recoding the ECU.
    Same with DAB. Can it be easily added to a 2004 car?

    Audi Music Interface AMI retrofit MMI 2G HIGH

    and

    Digital Radio DAB Retrofit Avant MMI 2G HIGH

    the ami is the same, you may need an upgrade to your mmi firmware for both.

    the dab is the same and can be fitted with an aftermarket aerial to save buying the rear window with the factory aerial.
